Just a few weeks ago, on a nice day in a parking lot, a tragedy struck in Arizona. You know what happened when a madman opened fire: Several people were killed and more wounded.
Fortunately, many of the bystanders at the event knew first aid and CPR and were able to save many lives.
In honor of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, whose life was saved by her intern Daniel Hernandez, we are hosting the Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life Saturday on March 19, 2011.
The Red Cross will provide fast and easy classes at over 100 locations across the nation that day. You can learn the basics of hands-only CPR, as well as how to treat someone in shock, and how to treat wounds. These mini-classes will be no longer than one hour, and offered all through the day.
And best of all—they are FREE, thanks to our sponsors, Safeway and Walgreens.
Come to ours at the Eastview Middle School at 350 Main Street in White Plains. Save the date!
